Dec - Holiday Party Run

The Holiday Party run started from the summit of Mt. Soledad, giving us a panoramic view of the city and the Pacific Ocean. We began our descent along the coastal cities making our mid stop at Vacation Isle. We made our way to Point Loma to Ryan and Jessica's, our hosts for the holiday party.

A special thanks to Dianne for diligently working to feed us all, to Madeline for bringing coffee and brownies and beverages, to Jammie for running the toys collected for Toys 4 Tots to the drop off, and to Ivette and everyone else for helping make the party move along smoothly once everyone arrived. It was an unforgettable afternoon filled with warmth, joy, and festive cheer.

Nov - Casino Charity Run

Driver’s meeting in Escondido then off to four different casinos via some very fun and twisty roads. We visited the Valley View Casino, Harrah's Rincon Casino, Casino Pauma, and Pala Casino in our quest to wrest treasures for this year's annual charity.

Oct - Eggs, Bread & Pie Run

It was time to go shopping for some groceries! We all needed eggs, bread and pie for our pantries, so we hit the road in grand fashion to get some! This run took us through the hills to Demler's for eggs, then off to Dudley's Bakery for bread, and then The Julian Pie Shop. After that we headed through more twisties (after securing our newly acquired vittles) to end at Heroes Wood Fired Pizza for some more (pizza) pie!

This run was approximately 105 miles long: 2-1/2 hours via Highland Valley Road, Old Julian Highway, Warner Springs (back side of Palomar Mountain) via 79, then 371 to 74 into Idyllwild. It was a fun route with a mix of twisty and scenic roads. It was more of a ‘tour’ with some fun roads thrown in. Lunch was at the Idyllwild Brew Pub in Idyllwild.

Mar - Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum (MECM) Run

This run was from the On The Border parking lot (298 E. Via Rancho Pkwy), and ended at the Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum (MECM) in Carlsbad. A leisurely drive from Escondido, thru Rancho Santa Fe, and into Carlsbad, arriving at the museum in just over an hour.

It was a rare Saturday meet up for us, as the Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum is not open Sundays. The museum held all manner of delights for anyone with an interest in how things work, emphasizing miniature versions of things usually much larger!

Jan - Palomar Mountain Pop-Up Run

This was a spirited run, and full of twisties that was a very fun time.

As some folks may know, our dear friend and Mini enthusiast Greg passed away on the 13th of December, 2023. This run was in memory of him and a celebration of the friend he was to this group. Please be ready with a smile, and if you have one, a story for the drivers' meeting. Greg would have wanted that.
